The
Frontenac Arch supports an extraordinarily rich diversity of birds. A checklist will be compiled of all species observed in the Frontenac Bird Studies area, beginning in 2009. Seasonal status will be noted for each species according to the categories below:
C: common - generally present daily, in moderate to large numbers
F: fairly common - generally present daily, but usually in small numbers
U: uncommon - present on a majority of days, but usually in small numbers
R: rare - present on a minority of days
O: occasional - has been recorded, but not annually
