The first dwarf birch leaves finally emerging, June 9

small alder shrub, about the only time an alder is ever attractive!

More bog laurel ... pretty much the only colour in the landscape late in
June

June 26 - The much loved bakeapples (cloudberries) are now blooming in
the bogs; later in
summer their berries will be highly sought after
